Week 1 Blog Post
In class we were introduced to the NGSS, or Next Generation Science Standards. We learned that it is what creates standards for K-12 teachers and students to use to teach science lessons. We explored the website in class and got to see how the website worked. I learned that it allows teachers to narrow down the standards they need by different factors like grade level or discipline. After being introduced I found out how important the NGSS is for lesson planning. I appreciate how easy it is to use and navigate, an dhow easy it makes knowing what I need to teach.
Hi Tyler! I really agree with how easy it is to use and navigate the NGSS. I like how you mentioned the way you can filter the standards to look at certain grade levels and disciplines. Great post!
ReplyDeleteHi Tyler, I agree with how user friendly the NGSS was. I also liked how easy it was to find standards for all grades. I think its very important to introduce this concept into our lesson plans and in the classroom. Great post!
